The glass slipper!!

As kids start going to school, you can definitely see a huge difference in their perception, thinking and understanding. They might not now ask seemingly silly questions but of course their curiosity has not ebbed. Their questions are more meaningful and logical that you may not have an answer to them.
Earlier it was easier to distract them but now its more difficult.
My seven year old daughter had recently picked up her Cinderella fairy tale book.
Next day she casually asked me.

Daughter: "Mom, have you read Cindrella?"
Me: "Yes."
Daughter: "I had a question, The fairy godmother had told Cindrella that as the clock chimes 12.00 the magic will end and she has to be back."
Me: "Yes that is right, and that is why she runs back when it is midnight."
Daughter: "Yes so everything will turn back as it was at midnight, then why doesn't the glass slipper disappear?"

Well that was a valid question, I had not thought of that. I was just wondering if I had ever thought of this question, had you?

Well luckily for me, as it was a fairy tale, I just told her that anything can happen in a fairy tale :)
